Sloppy, Sloppy!
The roads to Mt. Forest were sloppy as the South Bruce Rep Boy travelled to play their rival Sunday Afternoon.
The Mt. Forest team came out of the gates fast as the game started hemming the South Bruce boys into their zone. Although the chances were limited, you could tell that the Mt. Forest team was pumped to play against the boys. Over hearing one of the Mom's - they were saying this was their most important game of the year and they were giving it their all.
As the first went on, the South Bruce boys were trying to get it together, but the passing was just off the and the boys looked like they had residual effects from Friday nights celebration, as they were being beaten to the puck often.
The second was no different and the play was back and forth more, but just not clicking. When the buzzer sounded, the game was surprisingly tied 0-0.
Similar to the West Grey game, the Boys seemed to get some energy from the 2nd intermission and came out flying to start the 3rd. A nice rush from our defense with some good dangles opened up the ice allowing our defense to find a forward wide open at the side of the net for a real nice goal, giving the boys a 1-0 advantage. As the period went on, both teams exchanged some chances and then the Ram's started applying a lot of pressure late, late in the game. With a pass from the corner to an open player in the slot, the Rams tied the game.
This is the second tie of the year for the boys, and if it is similar to the last time the kids tied a game, we are certain they will come out with a better effort in their next game.
