Thrilling Game
Submitted By Jason Rogers on Saturday, December 14, 2013
Mount Forest came to town for game 2 of the season between these two centers.

The Rams walked into Mildmay Thursday night feeling pretty good about taking a point away from the South Bruce team, the last time these teams met and they were wanting more.

The game started out with a lot of energy, but the puck was not cooperating as it appeared that it was not sliding as the kids would expect.  Chances did occur and it looked real even between the teams, but the goalies were on their game and both kids made some extremely good saves.

Back and forth, chance after chance, rush after rush, the energy in the building was high and the crowd was anticipating who would score first.  With a nifty pass and a break away, the South Bruce team got in alone on the Mount Forest goalie but was stoned on a nice save, yet the South Bruce forward followed the play and slid one past the goalie to make it 1-0.

This seemed to get the South Bruce kids going even more as they pressured the Mount Forest defense and Goalie.  The Rams did not cave and started getting their chances again, and the defense and goalie stood strong to keep it a one goal game.

This may have been one of the most exciting games of the year and was well played by both teams.  The game ended 1-0 South Bruce with only a couple games left in the regular season, be sure to come out and cheer on the boys.
