Season Home Opener is another Win
On Monday November 21st the Midget AE Blades donned the new Jerseys and skated to a win against the Kincardine Kinucks. Both goalies got a workout and Spencer had some spectacular saves throughout the game.
Kalen was the first to get his number on the game sheet, scoring the only goal of the first period with Clayton and Caleb picking up a point each for the assists. Drew gave the Blades a 2-0 lead with an unassisted goal at 7:27. Tristan slid one in the corner shortly after at 6:54 with a pass from Caleb. The third period scoring started when Drew backhanded one in at 14:11 with the help of Shawn and Brett to put the Blades up 4-0. Curtis set Jake up for the Blades final goal of the game with 13:33 left in the third period. Kincardine fought back at 11:24 and with another goal again at 8:24 to cut the lead by three with a score of 5-2. The Blades next game is November 16 at 8:15 in Teeswater against Zurich.
