The
start of November brought another “W” for the SBMHA Midget AE Blades as they
travelled to Walkerton on November 1st for
a 6:30 puck drop against the Hawks.
The first period saw lots of shots on net for SBMHA with 4 making its way past the busy Walkerton goalie. Goal credits go to Curtis from Brett and Garret and another goal by Tanner P from Caleb and Kalen. Clayton scored on a pass from Tyson and Garret. Brett had a beauty with a bar down goal on a pass from Shawn and Owen to end the period at 4-0 for the Blades. The second period gave the Blades plenty of opportunities to work on their penalty kill and defence as there were no goals but 5 penalties to kill off against the hometown Hawks which included Drew spending his first time ever in the box. Kalen netted one from Garret early in the 3rd period and the Hawks came alive and were finally able to score at 9:56. Brett knocked another one in with a pass from Shawn at 2:20 left in the third. With less than half a minute left Drew gave us our final goal with assists going to Brett and Shawn. Final score of the game was a 7-1 against the Hawks.
