The Blades headed to Durham to do battle with the Warriors
in hopes of keeping their winning streak alive.
With a full squad suited up and ready to battle, what could go wrong?
The Warriors would come out strong from the moment the puck hit the ice and would get the lead under two minutes into the period. The Blades however would battle back for the remainder of the period keeping the Warriors at bay ending the first, down by one.
The second period saw both teams getting their chances but it seemed as though both goalies had settled in for a great game. With both teams pressing hard the Warriors would be rewarded with another goal with less than two minutes to go in the second. The Blades would battle back to cut the lead in half by getting on the score board with less than 30 seconds to go in the second period.
The start of the third seemed to bring out the fire in both teams as the Blades would get the equalizer one minute in. With the Blades all fired up it seemed as though the momentum of the game would shift, but the Warriors would put an end to that as they got the go ahead goal only eleven seconds later. Not to be out done the Blades would come out swinging as they would equalize the score again one minute later. Both teams would continue battle and the Blades seemed to have mustered up some gas as they would continue to press and take the lead for the first time in the game with less than seven minutes to go. Not wanting to end the winning streak the boys were on, the Blades would continue to play hard only to see the Warriors finding a way to tie the game with less than 30 seconds to go to end the game in a 4-4 draw, keeping the streak alive!
