IP3, 2014-2015 (South Bruce Minor Hockey)

The South Bruce Superstar IP3 team played very well in the first tournament for them.

It was a great night of hockey in Owen Sound as the Attack played Mississauga. The kids took to the ice before the game started for the mini game, Team White against Team Black. The kids had a blast on the ice and were excited after the little game for Timbits sponsored by Tim Horton's. The kids had their own jerseys and name bars above each stall just like a real dressing room (as one player described to me)!! The Attack unfortunately lost in a shoot out but the kids had a blast. The team was in tough against Hanover Orange on Saturday morning as the team took to the ice. The Hanover team came out strong and you could tell that they have played some hockey already this year. The team did not give up without a fight and were able to get a couple past the Hanover goalie. The Hanover goalie made some big saves later in the game to keep our little scorers at bay. We now look to take a break from games until the new year and get some good practices in and have fun!!!

The South Bruce Superstars opened the season against Arran-Elderslie on November 29. Even though the Arran-Elderslie team had played some games already this season South Bruce was not going away easily. The score was not indicative of the outcome of the game. The kids played very well for their first game. The team then played on December 6 at home against Ripley. Ripley came out and dominated the first half of the game and then a switch went off with the kids and came back to almost pull off the win.
