Pee Wee LL Girls, 2013-2014 (South Bruce Minor Hockey)

A great game of hockey in Mildmay tonight!!! An intense, high action game ended in a 1-1 tie with the Kincardine Kanucks Rep team.  Just when we thought it was all over, the Coaches and Officials decided to extend the play in a tie breaking overtime period - this overtime did not produce a goal and the game went into a 3 player shootout!  Brooke, Alicia, and Trystin all took great shots on net -  each team scored one goal in the shootout!  Sudden Death was called!  Lauren took an excellent shot on the Kincardine net, barely stopped by their goatender.  It was a real nail-biter!  One of the ...

SHOUT OUTS for SHUTOUTS !!!!  Congratulations to our South Bruce LL Goalie, the lovely Miss Jayden!  Tonights 3-0 win over Upper Maitland marks the third shutout in a row !!! Amazing goaltending Jayden - you are awesome! Major props to the strong defense players - always working incredibly hard to stop the puck from getting anywhere near our net and setting up great plays for the forwards! Excellent work to all the South Bruce little ladies!  Great hockey girls, you should all be very proud of yourselves!

A 4-0 win over Walkerton on Saturday, ensures South Bruce Pee Wee LL Girls are in 1st place! A great game of hockey was played yesterday - all girls worked extremely well together, passing the puck, cheering each other on - a fantastic effort! Keep up the great work girls!  It is sure to be an amazing end-of-season tournament!

An excellent game for South Bruce Girls this past Sunday!  Owen Sound might have finished ahead by one goal but South Bruce made a valiant effort with many shots on goal and an amazingly strong defence.  Well done girls!
