Are you able to help out?
SBMHA is looking for volunteers for the coaches committee.

With registration now closed we are starting to focus our efforts towards getting the kids back on the ice. Within the executive we have a sub-committee referred to as the coaches committee; this committee is composed of four members from the executive and two community/association volunteer members. Currently we have vacancies in both community member positions and we are seeking applicants to fill these two roles.
This committee is responsible for seeking out coaches, bench staff, ice helpers etc. and conducting interviews of applicants. Once coaches are in place they put together tryouts for the various age groups, arrange evaluators and work through tryouts so teams can be split and defined. Following tryouts, we work with teams through the year to ensure teams are achieving success based on their goals etc. and to offer support to the network of people who help make the on-ice aspect of the game function.
The majority of our heavy lifting occurs at the start of the hockey season. In order to be prepared, we require 2 people to fill the current vacancies.  Should there be more than two interested applicants we will be randomly drawing names from the pool of candidates so they can join our team and get to work early next week. The volunteer role accounts towards your volunteer commitments within the association.
If you are interested, please respond directly to this email no later than Friday August 27th at 5pm.
