Mount Forest Tournament 'A' Champs!
Congratulations to our Novice Rep team!
The team had to get started very early with the first game starting at 8 am against the host Mount Forest Rams. South Bruce came out on topping winning by a score of 6-1.
In the second game, South Bruce came up against the Hanover Falcons and the Blades made a big cut early and hung on to win a 5-4 hard fought battle to set the stage for the final game against the Wasga Beach Stars. A sluggish first period showed the evidence that the day was taking its toll on the young South Bruce skaters. Down 2-0 to start the second period the Blades rallied because of the strong performance of their Goalie, Blake, who kept them in it thus far and allowed our team to pull back even to start the third. With 4:21 left in the third period South Bruce scored the go ahead goal and eventual game winning goal!
A great team effort throughout the day, with every player making it onto the game sheet!
