FINALISTS!!!!
The girls battled the winter weather and some tough competition at the South Huron Pink on the Rink tournament held on January 9th and 10th.
The first game was cancelled due to old man winter, which resulted in the team splitting the points with Kincardine. Our second game was against a new opponent the girls had never faced before - the Bluewater Hawks. This game was an exciting, hold your breath kind of game, which ended in a 0-0 tie.
Saturday saw the girls face TDCMHA this game resulted in a 2-2 tie. On Saturday afternoon the girls faced TDCMHA once again this time in the semi-finals. The girls came out flying and played a dominating game and won 6-0. They were going to the finals!!!
The girls were pumped and excited to be playing in the finals, they played with skill, perseverance and heart, however the Bluewater Hawks came out with the win. The team spirit, sportsmanship and determination that the girls showed the entire weekend makes them champions in the eyes of their coaches and fans! Way to go girls!
