PeeWee C Girls Tournament Results
Our girls travelled to 3 different tournaments this season.  One in Woodstock, then in Saugeen Shores for the Caitland Cobean International Silver Stick and then to Goderich for Young Canada Week.

The first one was in Woodstock which proved to be a real good test for our girls.  We were put out in the semi finals after a loss to Chatham but came home with 2 wins and 2 losses and some very tired girls.  They all had a ton of fun and a little scare for a couple of them when they got stuck in an elevator at the hotel.  Hopefully a little lesson was learned there as well.
Our 2nd tournament was the Silver Stick and I was feeling like the lessons learned from the first tournament would help us in this one.  I would say I was correct as we won our first game against Chatham which was a sweet victory since they beat us in the first one and we had to beat the referees in this game.  We again made it to the semi finals but just couldn't get past a strong West Grey team.
The 3rd tournament was just last weekend in Goderich for Young Canada Week.  This was a great time for the girls where we played 5 games from Friday night to Sunday night.  We made it to the finals this time after a record of 3-1-0 in our first 4 games.  Unfortunately our opponent in the finals was the only team to beat in the first 4 games and that was Mount Forest.  Our girls played what everyone said what the best game they've ever played.  We dominated them but just couldn't beat their goalie.  They in turn could not beat ours as Mickayla played a brilliant game in net stopping everything thrown at her.  Almost everyone of our girls had scoring chances and just came up shy and then with 5mins left in the 3rd MF finally caught us.  A 1-0 result did not get the girls down though as they know who the better team really was.  I would also like to say how proud I am of them for their sportsmanship.  The Sarina Lady Sting decided to chear us on in hopes it would help them go further as well.  Our girls then cheared them on as well.  Our girls also would stand by the door waiting for teams to come off the ice and congratulate them on their games, win or lose.
We have 1 more tournament to go and that's the WOAA year end tournament and the girls are pumped and ready.
Let's crank it up for 1 more tournament girls and show them we haven't gone away.
Love you all.
