The end of a stormy month brought some spark to the Bantams...snow days must build energy.....
After another snowy Thursday....are we having fun yet .....in the snowy paradise? the boys took to the ice for a game against West Grey.
The first period was filled with good end to end hockey. The boys had to kill off a couple of penalties that they did in fine style. Karson turned the light on above their net on a pass from Sam and Brad. Great passing to accomplish the goal.We had a penalty and Johnny did a great job working hard to keep the puck in their end. The brothers pulled off some magic next....
On a pass from Karson to Sammy to Jake in front of the goal brought us our second marker. Back to our end with a shot through traffic and it just caught the right corner narrowing the lead to one at 2-1.
Still in the second Jake got the puck to Tanner and he carried it in over the blue line with a great shot beating their goalie over the left shoulder and we lead 3-1.
After the flood ( not the 40 days and 40 nights one ) they popped in a goal and we answered right back with Brad getting the puck to Karson and he got his third point of the game giving us a 4-2 lead. Lachlan , Nick, Ryan and Johnny worked hard on our blue line to defend the charge. Everyone on the front end showed some great passing and scoring attempts.
They got another goal with 8 minutes left and we worked hard to maintain the 4-3 score that was the final. Well done boys!
Great coaching gang...and of course the fan support was wonderful considering it was past most of our bedtimes!!
