Too busy blowing snow
It has been a busy winter for snow clearing and balancing work to keep all caught up on games so I am lumping a couple together.

The boys traveled to Mt Forest on Feb 1 and Walkerton Feb 4 for some exciting hockey.

Although the scores were not in our favour, the boys kept it all together and played some solid hockey.

In the Mt Forest game, Jake and Simon opened our scoring for South Bruce with a pass to Simon and a beauty wrap around shot for the point. We were at 3 - 1 after one. We had some great attempts by  Karson, and Darren. Johnny played backup goalie for Matthew, who after making several saves was left sprawling in front of the net but Johnnys fast stick kept the puck out of the net.

Nick Hays shot from the blueline and found the left side of the net to bring the score to 4-2. Tanner, Darren and Sam all contributed with great plays but we could not capitalize.
Simon had a long shot that slowly came out through the goalie and he poked his own rebound in for the final goal of the game for us for the 5-3 final.

The Walkerton game, this cub reporter missed the first few minutes and we were in the toilet 1 -0 but the end of the first saw the play well contained in their end with a solid contribution from all our defense and constant pounding of the forwards on the Walkerton goal.
Karson had a strong push up the right wing and a great shot but the juicy rebound was picked up by a Walkerton player....Darren and Karson had some mo-jo going with a great feeder pass and shot but he puck was stopped before going over the line.
Karson got he goal with Nick and Darren to get us on the board first.
At the end of 2 it was 2-1 Walkerton.

The third opened saw some body from Nick thrown at their # 11 and forced him off the puck to stop a break away. Karson and Jake had a fantastic push to the net.
Brandon and Nick and Johnny and Lachlan worked hard to keep the puck other side our blue line.
Tanner, Bradley and Simon Darren all involved in plays that could of reversed the score.,
Tanner closed out our points with a pass from Darren and Nick with a kind of lazy shot that went in the corner of the net. Final 4 - 2.

The boys all worked hard and with all these games, are starting to get a better feel of where they should be.
