Our
season started out taking two different groups of kids and combining them to
make one
AMAZING team.
These players have had
such a truly remarkable season.
In the beginning our first three games would end in ties. At this point Coaches and Parents alike were wondering what the season ahead would look like. But the kids kept digging and learning positional play, practice after practice. Which eventually paid off putting the South Bruce LL 1 team in the top position in the Novice LL Silver East division. They worked hard and were great at playing as a TEAM. During the round robin we played the Minto Mad Dogs, West Grey LL, and the Howick Hornets. With Five (5) Wins and One (1) Tie Loss, we managed to have the same standing as Minto. Thanks to that Tie Loss we ended up being one point ahead and moved on to the WOAA Silver Division East vs West Playoffs. Needing best 2 out of 3, our first game was a shut out 5-0 WIN for South Bruce. So needing just one more win we headed to Mitchell on Monday March 24th for a 7:00pm game. You could feel the excitement in the air as the kids dressed and headed out for what was their first WOAA Championship game. The game was back and forth in the beginning, which had everyone wondering if this would go to a game 3 final, but the South Bruce team continued to dig hard and play as a team. This game would be our winning game and end in a 4–2 win for South Bruce.

What an incredible 2013-2014 season we have had. Thanks to the Coaches, Bench Staff, & Parents for all the hard work and determination that made the past 6 months so enjoyable for this team. All of the players were always eager to learn a new drill and give it their all!
We look forward to seeing everyone back for the 2014-2015 Season.
