Bantam Reps Win Georgian Shores Tournament
The South Bruce Bantam Reps spent the weekend in the Georgian Shores Fall Classic Tournament. Starting the tournament late on Friday night with a 9:30 game against the host team Georgian Shores Lightning. Despite the late start, they come out on top with a 2 to 1 win.
After getting a much deserved rest, the team met up with the Wasaga Beach Stars on Saturday afternoon. The boys took this game 5 to 1, scoring the three goals in the last six minutes of the third period. With this win, the boys took first place in the round robin and received a bye into the semi-finals.
The team met up with Southwest Bullets in the semi-final game on Sunday at 12:30. This game proved to be an exciting one. The Bantams kept the Bullets from scoring until the third period and managed a 3 to 2 win, taking the team into the finals. The championship game was played at 5:30 versus the Tavistock Titans. The boys played hard and took the game 3 to 1. Congratulations Bantam Rep Boys, well done!!
